Being sick is stressfull.

Well it has been 3 days now since i have hopped on my bike or done any form of training because i am sick with a cold. It is tough not being able to train but i know better than to train and make it worse. At the same time i know i only have a limited number of days left where i can get any training benefit before the race. This is a sign of true discipline - if you train while sick you loose fitness where as if you rest you maintain your fitness. All i can do is rest and be patient.

After 3 days of nothing you start get real twitchy. The one good thing is after an absence like this you can't wait to get on the bike, which is exactly the way you want to feel leading into a big event.

Hang in there John, you know you are doing the right thing by waiting.

I too am in the same boat currently - it sucks to not ride but you have to think long-term with these things.

Only the young and mentally weak try to train when they are sick!

You'll be smashing it up in no time.

Pin it you muppet!!

cheers
