All test have showed that i'm all good and can start riding again. This is frustrating because we still don't know why i had hip pain but on the good side at least their is nothing serious wrong.
Back on the bike this week i was out on the Thursday night Tour of the Burgs just feeling how the hip and legs were going. Kate called while i was climbing up to Doncaster Shopingtown luckily it was just to tell me she had sold some more stuff and wasn't going into labour.
Saturday morning i did the usual Hell Ride. I find this ride is good at keeping the speed in the legs as it is the fastest group ride around Melbourne.
Sunday morning i met up with Jeff before work and hit the Yarra trails in the dark. It was great to see Jeff nailing tricky sections of trails straight away on his brand new Giant Anthem.
Heading over to Jeff's Shed for a weights session tonight and will ramp the training up a notch aver the next few weeks to get ready for the first round of Chase the Sun.
Training tip: each week you need to do a ride that is at or close to race pace. This keeps the memory of a hard effort in the legs and makes it easier and faster to get into form.
